Intern - Field Procurement

Your Skills

Schindler's Field Procurement team will be hosting a paid summer internship program running from late-May through early August based out of our Business Support Center, located in Dunwoody, GA. These interns will support necessary data entry and vendor cleanup initiatives. This is a great opportunity for those early into their college years (Freshman or Sophomore years) to get to know the company and gain real world work experience in the process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with suppliers in gathering data and inputs
  • Prepare reports that support decision making process so Schindlercan select the best vendors
  • Contact current customers to confirm appropriate points of contact, phone numbers and e-mail addresses
  • Online research as required if/when customer data is invalid
  • Maintain and continually update customer information on spreadsheet
  • When appropriate, encourage customers to move to electronic billing
  • Communicate any customer issues to appropriate field office representatives
  • Engage with sales representatives to review account contacts for respective district(s)
Your Experience

Currently enrolled Freshman or Sophomore in college/university (Business, Engineering, Economics majors preferred)
Reliable transportation to commute to Dunwoody BSC office

Comfortable calling customers to verify correct contact information
Can professionally persuade customers to switch to electronic invoicing/payment
Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate data is entered into SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Data Entry skills
Ambitious & results oriented
