Senior Litigation & Operations Paralegal

Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid)

The Senior Litigation & Operations Paralegal will be a key member of H.B. Fuller's dynamic global legal team, working with closely with our internal business partners and outside counsel on a range of disputes and investigations.

This individual will have primary responsibility for independently coordinating claims and litigation for multiple business units and supporting the litigation and investigation teams as needed.

  • Independently coordinate claims and litigation for multiple global business units, including drafting claims correspondence, under attorney supervision.
  • Manage outside counsel, including drafting and tracking engagement letters, negotiating fees, tracking budgets, and reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Assist with the factual development and analysis of cases, including coordination with the relevant business teams, collecting and reviewing documents, and creating summaries and timelines.
  • Independently respond to third-party subpoenas, under attorney supervision.
  • Manage eDiscovery process: identify relevant custodians, draft and issue legal holds, and oversee collection, processing, review and production of documents, managing outside service providers as necessary.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for company witnesses; coordinate and liaise between employees and counsel as needed.
  • Track case deadlines, report docket updates, and maintain litigation calendar.
  • Provide training to employees on litigation, investigation, and claims processes.
  • Design and implement litigation processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Assist with investigations as needed.
  • General support for Law Department initiatives as instructed and workload permitting, which may include special projects, updating templates, due diligence for mergers & acquisitions, global legal entity support, and backup for other Law Department functions including the CDA review process.

Minimum Requirements
  • Paralegal certification from ABA-accredited institution or Bachelor's degree
  • At least seven years' combined experience as a paralegal or legal administrator in a corporate and/or law firm environment

Preferred Requirements
  • eDiscovery experience, including use of Microsoft 365 eDiscovery tools, issuing and managing legal holds, early case assessment, and managing document review.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple matters at once, and ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to distill complex topics into straight-forward explanations or summaries.
  • Self-direction, motivation, and discipline to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, fast-growing, and innovative business.
  • Strong team player (no job is too small or too large) and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a client-centric approach.

  • Occasional conference calls outside of core working hours to accommodate time zones
  • Some travel possible (Up to 10%)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is Commensurate with experience.
