Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Microelectronics - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our talented team of technical and business experts providing key operational and mission support to a SI/SETA mission for a customer in Virginia. Our unique team of technical and business disciplines provide operational support for Systems Engineering and Integration, Mission Planning, and Business Operations to multiple functional mission areas. The team is responsible for the technical design, operations, and mission planning and business operations for the full life cycle of customer specific operations (from concept through development and installation/O&M).

The Microelectronics SME candidate will:

    Bring their extensive experience within microelectronics and ability to advise on national-level intelligence and strategic issues with an understanding of the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Coordination Cell (C3) mission.
  • Have a solid working experience in microelectronics design, semiconductor device fabrication and/or foundry operations, high-performance computers, and application specific integrated circuit development.
  • Provide oversight and leverage their technical expertise with a team to support C3 efforts to identify risks and develop long-term strategies that address critical manufacture, development, design, testing and end use of microelectronics technologies areas impacted by potential disruptions.
  • Support decision makers and special projects to include planning, producing, coordinating written products, and presenting briefings.
  • Engage and collaborate with groups across the classified customer space to understand technical needs and derive requirements for future technology roadmaps and programs.
  • Be responsible to stay up to date with the latest technology trends and provide technical support for high performance computing to include non-traditional approaches such as neuromorphic and quantum computing.
  • Be responsible and part of generating, reviewing, and revising standard operating procedures, to meet customer stakeholders and mission partners requirements.
  • Have background and experience in supporting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce development programs.

The ideal Microelectronics SME candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter who will take initiative for helping manage key parts of complex technical developments, possess a desire and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects, and be willing and able to aggressively learn the activities and focus of the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A minimum of ten (10+) years of experience within the areas of high-performance computers, semiconductor design and fabrication and application specific integrated circuit development for a government customer.
  • A minimum of two (2+) years of experience providing services for an engineering-related mission involving either cyber operations, communications, supply chain expertise, military tracking, and/or deep-sea support.
  • Undergraduate in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related technical discipline

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
